SmartPlate TopView let’s you track the way you eat. In contrast to a cumbersome food-scale-and-log system that requires a user to weigh a meal’s food items individually, then enter each weight into a tracking application to get nutrition values, SmartPlate TopView allows you to instantly analyze and track up to three separate food items – a complete meal! – at once. Just load the dishwasher and microwave safe plate with your favorite food items, snap a photo with your Android or iOS phone, and get all your nutrition information instantly. SmartPlate will accurately identify, analyze, and track your entire meal, giving you a level of accuracy and convenience that has never been possible before.

How much food can SmartPlate TopView weigh?

SmartPlate Topview can weigh up to 3,000 grams (over six pounds) at once.


What are the three partitions for?

The three partitions help you balance your protein, fat, and carbohydrate intake. Each partition can weigh up to two pounds of food. The partitions are made of BPA/BPS-free, non-stick, heat-resistant, microwave and dishwasher safe, food grade plastic.


Can I put the plate in the dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator?

SmartPlate TopView is dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator safe.


Can I take SmartPlate on-the-go?

Yes, SmartPlate comes with a portable lid that seals the plate like a food container, so you can stow it in your bag for later.


What if I'm eating out?

SmartPlate TopView comes with a premium lifetime subscription to the SmartPlate app, which enables users to leverage the platform’s food recognition technology on-the-go.

While the app alone can never deliver the same precision analysis available by pairing with the data collected by the SmartPlate TopView countertop device, it will make tracking a breeze with one-snap access and predictive searching of the same expansive database of foods. Just open the SmartPlate app, snap a picture of your meal, and adjust the portion size if needed. The Smart Plate app also lets you scan to track with a database of barcodes for more than 400,000 packaged foods and beverages. Easy peasy!

Do I need to purchase a SmartPlate TopView to try the app?

No, we invite you to get a taste of SmartPlate’s industry-leading image recognition for yourself by downloading the SmartPlate app for free. While an app alone can never deliver the same precision analysis available by pairing with the data collected by the SmartPlate TopView countertop device, it will make tracking a breeze with one-snap access and predictive searching of the same expansive database of foods. It features photo recognition of 1,000+ foods, text searching of hundreds of thousands more, simple macronutrient tracking, and expert prompts to guide you to your weight management goal. Plus, it’s ad-free!


Does SmartPlate work if I don’t have wifi?

A wifi or cellular connection is required to connect to SmartPlate’s cloud server.


How do memberships work in the app?

Each SmartPlate TopView comes with a QR code for one lifetime premium membership. The premium membership includes nutrition tracking, journal history, app programs, restaurant meals, integration with fitness wearables, and customized recommendations.


What is SmartPlate’s return policy?

SmartPlate 30 Day Satisfaction Guaranteed Return Policy
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase from SmartPlate for any reason, you have 30 days from the date of receipt of SmartPlate to request a full refund. To qualify for a refund, all the following conditions must be met:

  1. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be requested from our customer service team within 30 days of the date of receipt of SmartPlate. To request an RMA, email support@fitly.com
  2. Returned product(s) must be in good physical condition (not physically broken or damaged). All accessories originally included with your purchase must be included with your return.
  3. The RMA number must be included along with your returned product.
  4. Additional terms and conditions:
    • Products ordered in November and December can be returned through January 31 of the following year (or 30 days – whichever is longer).
    • Shipping and handling charges, giftwrap fees, and taxes paid (e.g., state, customs, VAT) are not refundable.
    • You are responsible for and must prepay all shipping charges and you shall assume all risk of loss or damage to the Product while in transit to SmartPlate.
    • If you return Product to SmartPlate
      • without an RMA from SmartPlate or
      • without all parts included in the original package, SmartPlate retains the right to either refuse delivery of such return or charge you a restocking fee of 15% of the original price of the product or the retail value of the missing accessories, whichever is higher.
    • Refunds will be processed and paid within 2 weeks of SmartPlate’s receipt of Product.
